On July 26, 2018, CARF International announced that behavioral and mental health/substance use treatment agency Family Insight, P.C. has been accredited for a period of three years for its service programs. This is Family Insight’s first accreditation from CARF.
Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the independent nonprofit accrediting body establishes people-focused standards for over 30 programs to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
A CARF accreditation represents the highest endorsement that can be given to an organization, and illustrates Family Insight’s dedication to CARF standards.
Family Insight earned this accreditation through a rigorous peer review process, demonstrating to a team of surveyors its commitment to offering programs and services that are client-centered, measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
Family Insight maintains Virginia offices in Chesterfield, Danville, Lynchburg, Manassas, Newport News, Richmond, Roanoke, Virginia Beach, and Winchester. The organization has provided autism treatment services, behavioral therapy, and treatment for mental health and substance use disorders since 2011.
“Nothing is more gratifying than being a part of helping a client achieve a level of stability and to witness their joy in accomplishing the next goal” says Family Insight CEO Sam Gray. “This accreditation strengthens our commitment to be the provider of choice to our most vulnerable citizens and demonstrates we are investing to be a quality-resource to the Commonwealth for the long-term.”
Since Family Insight first opened its doors in Roanoke, Virginia, the organization has grown quickly, with 10 offices currently in communities across Virginia that offer a wide range of treatment programs. Throughout this period of rapid growth, the organization has successfully maintained its mission of enhancing the well being of families and individuals through evidence-based counseling interventions.
“The Family Insight team delivers high quality programs to families in need with integrity and compassion” says Paul Lawrence, the Director of Operations. “This recognition from CARF International is a testament to the dedication of our staff and our leadership team. We couldn’t be more honored to receive this accreditation.”
Recognizing the depth of need for many individuals and families, Family Insight continues to grow its service capacity to serve more areas in Virginia.
